Summer League Summary August 27, 2008

GLEASON TAX 12 - TREEDAH MAGEE 0

The Gleason Taxmen had 19 hits in four innings lead by Artie Stackpole who pitched an outstanding game and picked up the win. Jeff Lichter had a perfect day with three hits. Gleason played great defense.

FUZZY'S 16 - STORAGE 365 3

Fuzzy's jumped out to a 10-0 lead after 2 innings and cruised to win in a 16 -3, 6 inning thrashing of the storage guys. Charlie Schulwolf and Ron Remm were perfect, each going 4 -4 with Schulwolf contributing a HR and 3 RBIs. Lyle Gordon chipped in with 3 hits including a double and triple and 3 RBIs while Mike Mathis and Jerry Feldman each had 3 hits. Sub Roger Neuman pitched a great game, allowing only 3 runs, all in one inning.

NATIVE NEW YORKER 10 - PAUL TONE INSURANCE AGENCY 9

Native New Yorker jumped out with four quick runs in the first inning and lead comfortably until the Paul Tone Insurance team attempted to overtake them starting in the sixth inning. The Insurance men put together a five run sixth and three more runs in the seventh before they were stopped and Native New Yorker sealed the victory. Larry Chaffin and Gene Prosser had perfect days at the plate each with four hits, Gene Prosser included a triple in his four hits. Earl Allseitz had three hits including driving in the winning run and picking up the pitching win. Bill Shanahan had three hits and Bob Zech had two hits including a triple.
