Resolution Concerning Two Members Serving Concurrently on the Sun City Grand Softball Club Executive Board Who Reside in the Same House

WHEREAS, when members of the same household serve on the same Executive Board at the same time, there is a possibility that:

 

  1. an imbalance of power in the governing process could develop,
  2. a conflict of interest could exist,  
  3. the second member of the same household might vacate their position if the other were to resign,
  4. a two member departure could result in a substantial workload shift to the remaining members of the Board and disrupt the overall operation of the Club, and

 

WHEREAS, CAM has stated that a rule will be forthcoming negating two individuals from the same household serving on the same Board at the same time, therefore 

 

BE IT RESOLVED, that from this day forward, in the best interests of the Sun City Grand Softball Club, there should never be a time when two or more people residing in the same household - husband and wife, life partners, friends or relatives, be allowed to serve concurrently on the Sun City Grand Softball Club Executive Board.
